For your eyes Only by Ian Fleming
For Your Eyes Only
One of five short stories Ian Fleming Wrote, which were combined into one book – These stories being A View to a Kill, For Your Eyes only, Quantum of Solace, Risico & the Hildebrand Rarity. This story concerns a suspected war criminal who is hiding out in Jamaica – They always choose to go somewhere exotic, they never go to somewhere like Wolverhampton lol. The criminals name is Hammerstein and he is spending his ill-gotten gains buying properties, whether the present tenants like it or not.
Bond is called to investigate when two of M’s Friends “The Havelocks” are found dead in mysterious circumstances and they suspect Hammerstein may be involved.
Quantum of Solace
This short story bears no resemblance to the film whatsoever. James Bond is invited to a Dinner party and is listening to a cautionary tale which the Governor of the Bahamas is telling him, about a rather unfortunate chap named Philip Masters, who has worked his way up through the Secret Service with distinction and was doing really well until he meets someone who changes his life forever…
Risico
James Bond is dispatched by M to deal with a Heroin smuggling Ring and soon finds himself in real danger when he goes after a chap nicknamed “The Dove” who is the leader of the gang. However he soon finds he has to watch who he can trust.
Hildebrand Rarity
Bond is invited on a cruise whilst in the Seychelles and meets a seemingly philanthropic gent named Milton Krest who has founded a Trust for Charitable purposes and collects rare animal specimens for museum. However Bond soon discovers that Krest is rather an unpleasant & obnoxious chap and things are further complicated when a murder is committed during the voyage.ad this exciting Ian Fleming whilst I was in hospital recently. It concerns everyone’s favourite spy, James Bond, who is asked to go to Paris & whilst there he is asked to investigate the theft of top secret documents from the dispatch riders as they are travelling from the SHAPE Intelligence Division to the Paris headquarters of the Secret Service.
