Whilst looking at videos of Jools Holland’s Hootenanny last night, I ended up listening to The Hold Steady and I thought they rocked so I decided to look on YouTube to see if I could find some more tracks to listen to. The tracks I heard were really awesome, So I have decided I would like to get the Album entitled “Boys & Girls in America” next, aswell as any other Hold Steady albums I can find

Being a big fan of Steam Trains, I’ve recently watched Simon Nye’s 2000 Adaptation of E. Nesbit’s novel “The Railway Children on television, which is about three Edwardian Children, played by Jack Blumenau, Clare Thomas & Jemima Rooper. who are forced to leave their London home and move to rural Yorkshire, where they fall on hard times and have a series of adventures. It was filmed at The Bluebell Railway and also Stars Lord Richard Attenborough, Jenny Agutter and Gregor Fisher,

Among the wonderful locomotives used in the production were the SECR Class C Wainwright Goods Locomotive no592, The LBSCR Radial Tank locomotive no473 “Birch Grove“, The NBR C Class Locomotive no673 “Maude” and the B4 Class LSWR Tank Engine no 96 “Normandy”

Status Quo

In recognition of both Francis Rossi & Rick Parfitt recieving OBE’s in the New Years Honours list, I thought it would be a great opportunity to post some classic Status Quo tracks.

I always remember them putting these songs on during the school disco and there was usually some nutter “Headbanging” down the front who ended up accidentally headbutting the speakers, lol :D
