The weekend’s Telegraph newspapers is giving away two Richard Burton films, both of which will probably find their way on Ebay soon lolJ Anyway the two films which are being offered are both good so I would like to get them:
The Spy Who Came in from the Cold
Starring Richard Burton, Oskar Werner and Warren Mitchell
Directed by Martin Ritt Burton stars as a British agent named Alec Leamas, who decides to take on one last assignment after a fellow British agent is killed right before his eyes by a spy named Mundt (Oskar Werner). Unfortunately it proves to be very dangerous and may well prove to be his final one.
Becket
Starring Richard Burton, Peter O’Toole and John Gielgud
Directed by Peter Glenville this is a violently emotional drama starring O’Toole as King Henry II, Which looks at the souring of the relationship between him & his former friend Thomas Becket,(Burton) and asks where it all went wrong and how two such close friends could become such deadly enemies.
